Shipping and Returns Policy
We are very dedicated to customer satisfaction. Please read this document carefully to understand our policy on shipping, returns and refunds.
Payment terms: Payment in full is required before dispatch of any goods from Sun Valley Trading Co.
Prices advertised on this website include shipping – this means via Australia Post to your address for small items, or to a freight depot for large items that are sent by courier.
Courier freight is sent weekly, generally on a Monday from Emerald, QLD through TNT. At times we will choose a different courier company based on getting you the most economic solution, or availability. We strive to have stock available for dispatch at the next planned delivery day but there may be circumstances where we can not meet this timeframe and therefore no guarantee is implied. In these instances we will endeavour to communicate with the customer to update on delivery times.
We prefer to ship to a courier depot for you to collect, as this minimises the risk of Failed Delivery charges, and risk of goods being lost or damaged when they are left unattended at your address. This loss is not covered by our insurance.
Delivery to address can be arranged at your expense and risk. A hydraulic tail lift truck is required for all items more than 25kg as stated by the freight companies, unless you have a forklift available to unload the truck. It is not possible to have the delivery driver call you to arrange delivery time.
Small items sent by Australia Post we intend to send within two business days of payment being received but sometimes circumstances will delay this time frame and therefore no guarantee is implied. Standard post is used unless otherwise advertised, or at the customer’s request and cost.
All sales dispatched for transport by our arrangement will be packaged securely. If you collect from our store, you are responsible for the safe packaging and transport of the goods.
Outgoing freight is covered by our transit insurance policy against loss or damage incurred during the transport process. If your item is received with damages, please take photos and report to us immediately.
It is your responsibility to securely mount any machine to the table/bench as applicable.
It is your responsibilty to choose a suitable location to install or store your machine and associated products.
It is your responsibility to install all guards or safety devices before operating the machine.
Please read all instruction manuals before operation and if you are unsure of anything, please contact us.
These are industrial machines, with moving parts, heavy parts, sharp parts and we implore you to be careful, to work safely and keep your family, friends, children, pets safe too.
Returns and Refunds
We guarantee for funtionality. If your machine does not perform as stated from new, please report to us immediately and provide photos and videos. Our first intention is to be able to help you to acheive reasonable performance from the machine and do appreciate your co-operation to taking videos and making adjustments as directed. If reasonable performance is not achieved, you are entitled to return the machine for a refund or exchange. Our warranty is on a “Back to Base” term and you are responsible for packaging, transport and insurance costs to bring the machine to us. For major failures/defects we will refund the full purchase price, or replace, at your choice. For minor defects, we may elect to repair or discount you for the purchase price at our discrection.
No refunds are given simply for change of mind.
No refunds, exchanges, warranties or liabilites are accepted by Sun Valley Trading Co for damages or losses of any sort due to operator error, neglect, accident or misuse. Sun Valley Trading Co will in no case be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential or punitive damages or losses even if the machine is defective or fails at any time.
No refunds, exchanges or warranties are given for consumable/wearable items such as needles, thread, bobbins, feed dogs, needle plates, shuttle, hook assembly, thread guides, cutting knives, sharpening stones, sand paper, timber burnishing wheels, anvils, cutting dies, cutting boards or vee belts; nor for thread tension, timing, feed or balance adjustments, knife positioning, handle positioning
No guarantees are given that machines will appear exactly as pictured, due to colour variations, batch variations.
Certain items are available only on a special order basis, where they are only brought in at the particular request of a customer. These orders require a 75% deposit before the order is placed with the supplier, and this deposit is non-refundable. These type of orders are especially communicated to the customer as being a special order, in writing when emailing the invoice to the customer.
Through the course of our interactions as you make enquiries and purchase from Sun Valley Trading Co, some of your personal details will be collected, including but not necessarily limited to: name, business details, ABN, address, email, credit card details, phone number. We collect these details only as strictly necessary for procedure of the purchase and shipping and as required by law. We will not disclose these details to any one else, except through the secure credit card processing facility we use, and as required by law.
